Detailed Description

Role & responsibilities
 
  • Manage end-to-end logistics, transportation, dispatch, and distribution operations.
  • Coordinate with transporters, logistics vendors, warehouses, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor cargo movement, delivery schedules, OTD/OTIF, and vehicle utilization.
  • Handle transporter/vendor management, performance tracking, and rate negotiations.
  • Ensure timely deliveries, proper documentation, and compliance with logistics processes.
  • Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Prepare MIS reports and logistics KPIs and provide regular operational updates.
  • Lead and coordinate the logistics team to achieve daily operational targets.
 
Preferred candidate profile
 
  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of Logistics Operations, Transport Management, Warehouse & Distribution.
  • Experience in vendor/transporter management and cost optimization.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and team-management skills.
  • Hindi communication is Mandatory for handling Pan India operations
