Detailed Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end purchase operations for materials, components, and consumables required across departments and warehouses.

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and suppliers across India to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) as per approved requisitions and internal requirements.

  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal cost savings.

  • Coordinate with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch status, and timely delivery of materials.

  • Maintain and update vendor records, rate contracts, and product catalogs for easy reference.

  • Ensure purchase documentation and compliance with company policies and audit standards.

  • Work closely with warehouse, accounts, and logistics teams to resolve issues related to GRN, invoices, and payments.

  • Track and report purchase status, lead times, and material movement to management.

  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.

  • Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed sourcing decisions.

  • Assist in forecasting material requirements based on production and sales plans.

  • Ensure adherence to timelines for Pan-India procurement across multiple product categories.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance purchase efficiency and cost control.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of purchase, procurement, and vendor management processes.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Good proficiency in Hindi and English is required for Pan-India Coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Reporting) and ERP/Tally for purchase management.

  • Good analytical, coordination, and documentation abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements across regions with accuracy and speed.

  • Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with logistics coordination and material planning.
