Detailed Description

Roles and Responsibility
  • Manage end-to-end Ocean Import Freight Forwarding operations from pre-alert to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, transporters, CFS/ports and customers.
  • Handle import documentation, container coordination, customs clearance and cargo delivery.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, container status, arrival timelines and shipment milestones.
  • Resolve customs, documentation, detention, demurrage and shipment-related issues.
  • Negotiate Ocean Freight rates and manage carriers/vendors for cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor KPIs, shipment turnaround time, service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare MIS reports and drive process improvement and cost optimization.
 
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Ocean Freight / Ocean Import / Freight Forwarding.
  • Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end Ocean Import operations.
  • Good knowledge of Ocean Freight, Import Documentation, Customs Clearance and INCOTERMS.
  • Experience coordinating with Shipping Lines, Customs Brokers, CFS, Ports, Transporters and Overseas Agents.
  • Strong customer handling, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/TMS systems.
